The Association for Play Therapy (APT)
A national professional society established in 1982 to foster contact among mental health professionals interested in exploring and, when developmentally appropriate, applying the therapeutic power of play to communicate with and treat clients, particularly children. Their website is a great place for publications, training and membership benefits.
The National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN)
NCTSN has a mission to raise the standard of care and improve access to services for traumatized children, their families and communities throughout the United States. The NCTSN website is a tremendous, current resource for caregivers, parents, and professionals.
